Damn guys, the cold and snow has not slowed down the graffiti taggers in Yakima. I took close to 100 photos of gang graffiti today just in the city. I put up 38 new photos to the Flickr page. Monday morning I am going down to Toppenish. I will try to get the rest of my photos online by Tuesday. Check it out, I found some pretty cool stuff. -Brad Add Comment I just want to wish everyone a happy and safe Thanksgiving, and I will be traveling to Yakima on Saturday. I hope I will be able to get some new graffiti photos for the website. -Brad Okay so I've confirmed the homicide victim is named River Saenz, 21-years-old. I can't say in fact if he was a gang member, but many of his friends are associated with the Bell Gardens Lokote gang, who have strong membership in Grandview and Prosser. There has been a lot of chatter online about his death. Either way RIP to this young man. -Brad Hey everyone, I'm trying to find out info on a homicide that took place in Prosser last night. I'm seeing a lot of people associated with Bell Gardens Lokotes gang paying respect to someone named "Rivers". I'm sure I will be able to get more info on this in the next day or two. Hit me up if you've heard anything. -Brad Not a whole lot going on this week, I've added a few news stories to the Twitter page, but that's about it. I'll check in again soon! -Brad I spent most the morning and afternoon down in Tacoma and Lakewood looking for graffiti and I did well. The neighborhood around 72nd Street & Golden Given Road, looks like a total war zone. Several of the apartments there are covered in gang graffiti, I have to say I was a little scared walking around there. I did come across a new gang tag I've never seen before (see below) "CLS X3". Also in Lakewood I came across a few Gangster Disciple taggings so that was nice to add to my collection. On Saturday I plan on taking graffiti photos in the Tacoma-Lakewood area, maybe going as far south as Olympia if I feel like it. -Brad I still have not been able to delete the older style website, so you still may come across duplicate pages. The older one will have the blue background. I'm working with Google Search and my hosting site to get this fixed ASAP! Sorry for any confusion! -Brad I've been absent from my blog for a few days, celebrating Halloween and all. I would say I'm about 75% finished with the website. Like always keep checking back for updates and new information.
