On this page is a rundown of all the gangs I have documented in Idaho and Montana states.  I gathered most of this information from news articles, e-mails received from both gang members and a few different police officers.

Out of the whole Northwest region, these two states have the lowest total of gang crimes, but still deal with all the gang problems one might have in Seattle or Portland.  The majority of gangs can be found in cities both large and small located off several of the states highways (I-90, I-84, I-15, 1-94 and Highway 2). 

Gangs found here are from all racial backgrounds and a lot of them are multiracial.  Some of the largest gangs are located in Boise, Nampa, Caldwell, Pocatello, Billings and Missoula.  They are involved in all levels of crime such as graffiti, theft, auto theft, burglary, assaults, arson, prostitution, drug trafficking, drive-by shootings and homicide.
