KING COUNTY, WASHINGTON
King County is the Northwest's most populous county with 1.9 million people living in 60+ cities and unincorporated areas, including the Northwest's largest city, Seattle with a population of 616,500.
From my research I estimate King County has over 125 gangs operating with membership well into the thousands. The four most predominate gangs fall under the Bloods, Crips, Folk Nation (Gangster Disciples), and Surenos 13.
I have documented gangs in Seattle's high crime areas of Central District and South End, in the wealthy "Eastside" cities of Bellevue and Kirkland, and in the South County cities of Kent, Auburn and Federal Way.
