Portland-Gresham Gangs -

PORTLAND-GRESHAM GANGS

Portland is Oregon's most populous city with 583,776 people living in the city limits. Directly to the east of Portland is the City of Gresham, population 105,594. Together they make up 93% of Multnomah County's population.

From my research I estimate the Portland-Gresham area has slightly over 100 gangs operating with membership near 2,000. The most active gangs in this area are the Bloods and Crips, both responisble for several recent homicides. To a lesser extent Folk Nation (Gangster Disciples), Surenos 13, and Nortenos 14 are also active.

Gangs can be found in almost any Portland-Gresham neighborhood, but are more commonly found in the Northeast and Southeast parts of the Portland, and in Gresham's Rockwood neighborhood.
